Intrigued by the role of music at different levels of development (economic, social and cognitive) and in interindividual relations, Gaelle has structured her academic path around this question. During her master at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, she has studied the role of initiatives such a El Sistema (an orchestral program created for children in the slums of Caracas and now present around the world) in international development and intercultural relations. She has then acquired skills in cognitive sciences during a master in Philosophy of mind and language at Ecole Normale Supérieure (PSL). She is now doing her PhD with the LaPsyDE and the Cité de la Musique - Philharmonie de Paris in order to study the impact of music training on the cognitive and socio-cognitive development of underprivileged children.
